Carey hints at Vietnam addition in 2020
Liberty Media executive Chase Carey has revealed that Formula One are looking at the prospect of adding a Vietnam Grand Prix to the 2020 Formula One calendar, as the owners of the sport continue their goal of increasing the popularity of F1 in the United States and Asia.
The American organisation recently revealed plans, including track plans, for a new Miami Grand Prix, and this is thought to be part of a major operation to reach more fans in the USA and Asia.
The latest chapter in the proposal has been suggested by Chase, who would love to see Vietnam are a location for a Grand Prix.
"Vietnam is a very exciting country," Carey is quoted by L'Equipe.
"It's a country that speaks to our imagination and we want to go there."

Lewis Hamilton echoed these comments, saying the race in Monte Carlo was "the most boring race" of his entire career.
The sport has come under criticism in recent years for lacking the on-track entertainment in seasons previous and Fernando Alonso claimed that the recent Monaco Grand Prix was so boring that fans deserved to be refunded.
Liberty Media are looking at ways to improve overtaking and increase the excitement during races, and Carey thinks that some of the current tracks need to be reevaluated.
"First of all we want to make sure they are suitable tracks for great racing," he continued.
"Realistically, there are circuits where we probably need to intervene."
