Racing Point's first F1 car revealed

Racing Point have broken cover on their first fully fledged Formula 1 challenger, retaining the pink livery of its predecessor when the team was Force India. The car was revealed at the Canadian International Autoshow as the influence of new team owner Lawrence Stroll begins to be felt.

As well as an updated look, the team also has a new name: SportPesa Racing Point F1 Team, having signed a title sponsor deal with the African betting company.

Team principal Otmar Szafnauer, said: "After months of hard work behind-the-scenes it’s incredibly exciting to come to Canada and present our new identity.

"The long-term aim is to take this team to the very top of the sport.

"We are putting the building blocks in place and it’s important we take a good step forward in 2019 as we begin this new era. We want to be fighting for podiums on merit and aiming for a strong top four finish in the championship."
