Who is driving for Red Bull in 2019?
Red Bull's 2019 driver line-up was confirmed in August when the team handed Pierre Gasly a deal to partner Max Verstappen. The Frenchman will replace Daniel Ricciardo next season, with the Australian set to depart for Renault. We profile the 2019 Red Bull driver line-up.MAX VERSTAPPEN
Verstappen will enter his fifth Formula 1 season in 2019, although he remains one of the youngest drivers on the grid.
The Dutchman became F1's youngest racer when he debuted in 2015 with Toro Rosso and the sport's youngest race-winner a year later on his Red Bull debut in Spain.
With Red Bull hoping that a switch to Honda power units will bear fruit in 2019 and beyond, Verstappen still has designs on becoming the youngest champion in F1 history – success in either 2019 or 2020 will see him eclipse Sebastian Vettel.
Verstappen already has five wins to his name – all of them coming at a younger age than any driver in history had previously managed.
PIERRE GASLY
Gasly was drafted into the Red Bull junior programme in 2014 but had to wait more than three years to make his F1 debut when he debuted at the 2017 Malaysian grand Prix for Toro Rosso.
He had previously served as test and development driver to Red Bull and the sister team.
The Frenchman remained part of Toro Rosso's squad for 2018 and delivered an almost immediate notice of his talents by securing a marvellous fourth-placed finish in Bahrain – Honda's best result as an engine manufacturer since returning to F1 in 2015.
Points have followed in Monaco, Hungary, Belgium and Mexico – convincing Red Bull that he should be the man to fill the void left by Ricciardo's decision to switch to Renault in 2019.
