Fernando Alonso will return to Le Mans this weekend to drive an Alpine F1 car in a demonstration run as part of a parade for the French manufacturer.
Alpine currently races with a year-old LMP1 racer as it challenges Alonso's former team Toyota for honours at the 24 Hours Le Mans.
Alonso won the race with the Japanese outfit twice during his stint in the World Endurance Championship in 2018 and 2019 but will return alongside Alpine team-mate Esteban Ocon who pilots an Alpine A110 GT4.
CEO Laurent Rossi will also take part in an A110 S with the manufacturer expected to announce plans to commit a long term future to the series.
Alonso will likely drive a demonstration model from the Renault era dressed in the current Alpine livery.
