Oliver Rowland tops a heavily disrupted practice two for the Santiago ePrix after Ma Qinghua ends the session in the Chilean walls.

In contrast to practice one, when practice two got underway, most drivers instantly took to the track in Attack Mode.

With temperatures only set to increase throughout the day, the earlier stages of the session would likely yield the more representative data for teams.

Neel Jani (TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team) slid wide and made contact with the wall early on but that was just the start of a crazy session.

Half way through the session, the GEOX Dragon team left the cooling fans on the front of Brendon Hartley's car when he left the pits which brought out a brief red flag period, Antonio Felix da Costa (DS Techeetah) turned in on Rowland (Nissan e.dams) into turn one which resulted in minor contact but then Ma Qinghua (NIO 333 FE Team) crashed heavily into the wall, causing a far longer stoppage.

The session was not restarted and Rowland, who was the only front runner to complete a lap in full qualifying mode, heads into qualifying as the fastest man.
