VIDEO: Vettel visits Mercedes garage after Hamilton title win
Sebastian Vettel showed immense class, visiting the Mercedes garage to congratulate the team after Lewis Hamilton's fifth world title was confirmed at the Mexican Grand Prix. Vettel has come up short in a battle with Hamilton for the second year running, but admitted the Silver Arrows deserved their success.
Vettel has seen his chances slip through his fingers in 2018, despite Ferrari producing a strong car – with mistakes on the track and the pit wall hampering the German's own hopes of sealing world title number five.
Although Hamilton's coronation had been something of a formality in Mexico, Vettel admitted it was a "horrible moment" when it was confirmed he could not win the championship.
He did not wallow in pity, however, and fronted up to congratulate Mercedes on their triumph in the Silver Arrows' garage.
Humility in victory, grace in defeat.

Vettel also congratulated Hamilton on the track after the Brit's fourth-place finish was enough to seal it and later revealed the theme of his message to the champion.
He said: "I think he drove superbly all year and was the better one of us two.
"So I told him well deserved and to enjoy it – number five is something incredible. Mainly congratulated him and asked him to keep pushing for next year, I need him at his best to fight him again."
