F1 Results Today: Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix practice times as Verstappen NIGHTMARE sees Ferrari dominate

Ferrari's Charles Leclerc topped the timesheets in both of Friday's practice sessions at the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, with Max Verstappen struggling with some uncharacteristic mistakes.

A stunning Ferrari performance saw Leclerc and team-mate Carlos Sainz beating Verstappen and Sergio Perez comprehensively.

Verstappen didn't enjoy his Red Bull car throughout the two sessions, calling his RB20 'a catastrophe' as he went off into the gravel on three separate occasions.

McLaren, fresh from a comprehensive victory over Red Bull at the Miami GP, also looked quick, with Oscar Piastri finishing as high as second in FP2, and Lando Norris on an extremely fast lap before diving into the pits.

Mercedes' upgraded W15 seemed to provide George Russell and Lewis Hamilton with an extra confidence, and they will be hoping to take two strong practice performances into Saturday.

British starlet Oliver Bearman also competed in FP1 for Haas, his first F1 appearance since his impressive outing with Ferrari at the Saudi Arabia GP.
