Simmey Hannifin Donaldson

GPFans US Chief Editor Simmey Hannifin Donaldson is a media professional who has been working in the industry since graduating with a Master's degree in Multimedia Journalism from Bournemouth University, where he also gained accreditation from the Broadcast Journalism Training Council. Previously, Simmey had studied BSc Sociology at Brunel University London. Before joining GPFans, Simmey's experience had largely come in the sphere of soccer, specifically the English Football League, having covered the Championship, League One and League Two for Football League World. Prior to that, Simmey had also covered his beloved Watford and their fortunes in the Premier League in 2021/22. However, Simmey is also a massive motorsport fan and has been ever since he was a kid. One day, he just so happened to be flicking through the channels and stumbled upon the 2008 Brazilian Grand Prix, where Lewis Hamilton dramatically clinched his first F1 world championship in the dying seconds of the race. It's fair to say he was hooked from thereon in. More recently, Simmey has also developed a passion for racing in the United States, taking charge of expanding GPFans' US motorsport coverage and leading the site's news and analysis of NASCAR, from the Cup Series all the way through to the Truck Series.
