NASCAR Cup Series outfit Trackhouse Racing have announced that former Joe Gibbs Racing chief Todd Meredith will be their new president of racing operations.

Meredith previously worked at Joe Gibbs Racing in multiple roles having originally joined the organization in 1992, playing an important role in their ascent to becoming championship contenders.

Most recently, Meredith served as the chief operating officer of the team between 2013 and 2016, and the 56-year-old will now make a return to the Cup Series in his new position, something he is excited about.

"I feel at home in NASCAR and wanted to return in some form," Meredith said in an official statement.

"The more I talked with [team owner] Justin [Marks], the more I was excited by his vision of Trackhouse Racing.

"The team is very talented and quite successful, as you have seen in the last few months, but we want even more."

Trackhouse Racing hire Todd Meredith

Elsewhere in the official release that confirmed Meredith's arrival, Marks himself revealed his excitement at landing someone of the 56-year-old's caliber.

"We're thrilled to welcome someone of Todd's caliber and experience to help guide Trackhouse from the top," Marks explained.

"His focus on culture, strategy, quick decision making and organization will be a massive shot in the arm for this company as we navigate a pivotal growth period in the history of Trackhouse Racing."

Trackhouse have confirmed that the team's existing competition leaders will remain in place despite Meredith's hire, now reporting into the 56-year-old.

Meanwhile, all business, marketing, and partner relationships will continue to operate under the team's chief revenue officer, Andrew Lukanich.

It certainly looks to be an exciting time for Trackhouse, with a new driver set to join the team in place of Daniel Suarez for 2026 and beyond, and given the fact that they currently have two drivers locked into the playoffs for 2025.
