Suarez's contract with Trackhouse is due to expire at the end of the year, and rather than seeking a renewal of their relationship, it has been decided that it is best for driver and team if they go their own separate ways after five years together.

Wallace is known to be a good friend of Suarez, and after the news was confirmed, the 23XI driver took to social media to issue a supportive message.

"[Sad emoji]. Love you amigo," Wallace posted on X. "Lots of races left this year. Let's have some fun."

Daniel Suarez: The best is ahead

Daniel Suarez has been at Trackhouse Racing since 2021 having had short stints at Joe Gibbs Racing, Stewart-Haas Racing and Gaunt Brothers Racing earlier in his career.

During his time with Trackhouse, Suarez has won two Cup Series races in the No. 99, making the playoffs in 2022 and 2024.

So far in 2025, Suarez is yet to win and lock himself into the postseason, with his best result having come at Las Vegas in March, where he finished second to Josh Berry.

Suarez's own statement on his exit read: "Trackhouse and I have mutually agreed to part ways at the end of the 2025 season,"

"I’ve had some of the best years of my Cup Series career at Trackhouse. We had great successes as a team and I gained some incredible friends. We took a team nobody had even heard of in 2021 and in just a couple of years we were winning races and running upfront on a weekly basis.

"Just like the seasons in a year, sometimes things change and we have agreed to each go in our own direction.

"I wish Trackhouse nothing but the best, this 99 team will always be special to me. And like I always say, The best is ahead!"
