A NASCAR team are set to cease operations following this weekend's race action at Dover Motor Speedway, it has been confirmed.

The Cup and Xfinity Series are both set to be in action at the 'Monster Mile' over the next couple of days, but it will be the last time that Our Motorsports hits the track for the foreseeable future.

NASCAR HEADLINES: Major Cup Series change announced as team brutally ditch driver

So far in 2025, the team have run the No. 5 Chevrolet full-time in the Xfinity Series, with Kris Wright at the wheel. However, Wright has now left the team, with Kaz Grala set to step in for their final race weekend.

Our Motorsports and Kris Wright have officially parted ways following the Sonoma race on July 15, 2025. Our Motorsports will complete its season on Saturday in Dover, Del., with Kaz Grala behind the wheel of the number 5 Ferguson Chevrolet," a statement via Fox Sports' Bob Pockrass read.

"Our Motorsports will cease operations in NASCAR racing moving forward. Thank you to NASCAR, Chevrolet, the fans, employees, and drivers, for a good ride over the last 6 years."

Why are Our Motorsports shutting down?

In reports since the news was confirmed, multiple factors have been cited as potential reasons as to why the team has decided to call it a day.

However, financial pressures and competitive challenges are said to have contributed, as per Speedway Digest.

So far in 2025, things have not been as successful for the team as they previously have been on track, with the No. 5 achieving just one top-10 finish so far this campaign, and only three in the top-20.

News on the team's exit from the sport has been rather vague, with their social media channels not having been updated frequently, even in light of the above, and their website having been suspended.

However, after it was confirmed he would be the driver stepping into the No. 5 for the last time, with Wright having departed, Kaz Grala wrote on social media: Grateful that Our Motorsports reached out and wanted to race together this weekend as they close this chapter as a team,"

"We’re gonna give it all we’ve got to cap things off on a high note tomorrow."
