F1 rallies to "condemn" horrific Latifi abuse
The F1 community has come together to throw its support behind Williams driver Nicholas Latifi after he revealed he has been subjected to a torrent of online abuse and death threats in the wake of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
The Canadian's crash five laps from the end of the race ultimately triggered the controversial safety car period which Max Verstappen took full advantage of to clinch a maiden world championship, pipping Lewis Hamilton.
Latifi had stayed away from the spotlight since his incident but released a statement on Tuesday detailing the abuse he had received in the days since the race.
In response, the paddock has united behind the Canadian to show that such threats and abuse will not be tolerated.
We are proud of @NicholasLatifi for speaking out on this - this kind of behaviour has no place in our sport or any walk of life.
