Belgian Grand Prix set to be postponed
Belgian authorities have banned all public gatherings until August 31, making it seemingly inevitable that the Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix will be at least postponed.
Certain restrictions in Belgium may have been eased slightly, but alongside Germany, the country have confirmed that mass gatherings 'like music festivals' will not be allowed to take place until September at the earliest.

As the majority of mainland Europe have made changes to their lockdown protocols at similar times, and with Formula 1 managing director of motorsports saying that he hoped the season would start at the beginning of July in Europe, the announcement could see Formula 1 placed on hold until September.
"Today nobody can say when we will once again have a normal life," said Belgian Prime Minister Sophie Wilmes. "There is still a long road to go and it is strewn with stones and full of holes. However, the prospect of a better future is within our grasp.
"We too a set of difficult measures to protect the population. It's been a month of effort and sacrifice, but the number of hospital admissions has fallen. Still new deaths occur on a daily basis.

"Behind the cold statistics are real people, who suffer and who have died. There are families in mourning in difficult circumstances. Health car workers are struggling on a daily basis to save lives.
"Though the spread of the virus is slowing, the crisis hasn't yet passed."
