Red Bull to protest any Ferrari engine anomalies
Helmut Marko says Red Bull will protest the Ferrari power unit in 2020 if they suspect any foul play after previously voicing suspicions last season.
In 2019, Red Bull and driver Max Verstappen were particularly vocal in their questioning of the legality of Ferrari's power unit. Following the summer break, Ferrari enjoyed a remarkable upturn in form with Charles Leclerc claiming back-to-back victories in Belgium and Italy.
“There were several points with Ferrari’s engine that were likely to be beyond any grey area, but nothing was done about it,” the head of Red Bull's driver development program, Marko, told motorsport-total.com.
“If we do suspect that there are irregularities again, we will definitely protest."

At the American Grand Prix, following an FIA investigation into the legality of the Ferrari unit and a subsequent fall in performance, Verstappen commented, “You get that when you stop cheating."
Red Bull team boss Christian Horner is also hoping that the FIA will keep a tighter grip on things than in 2019.
“I think the FIA does not have the expertise that the teams have,” said Horner. “So it was extremely important for us to have clarity for 2020.”
