Ricciardo worried last Red Bull celebration has gone

Daniel Ricciardo is growing concerned that he is running out of chances to enjoy a major celebration with Red bull before he departs for Renault in 2019. Ricciardo suffered his seventh DNF of 2018 at the United States Grand Prix after suffering a suspected electrical shut-down.

The Australian appeared to be in the title fight after following up a win in China with a redemptive triumph in Monaco early in the season.

However, those races remaining his only trips to the podium in a 2018 season that has seen him often beset by mechanical issues.

This week's Mexican GP offers him a chance to fix his skewed record, with Red Bull expected to challenge, and one last 'shoey' in Red bull colours is high on Ricciardo's to-do list.

"It's incredibly frustrating to retire so early in the race and I just don't seem to have any luck at the moment," the Australian said.

"The biggest shame is that I only have a handful of races left with Red Bull and I want to have more highs than we've had.

"I want to be able to celebrate with the team at least one more time and be on the podium to enjoy that feeling, but we're running out of races which is pretty tough to take at the moment."
