VIDEO: Verstappen takes Eau Rouge-Raidillon... BACKWARDS

We know Max Verstappen is a gutsy driver, if not one of the gutsiest in Formula 1 today. How do we know this, you might ask? Because Red Bull share videos of him taking Spa-Francorchamps' Eau Rouge-Raidillon backwards, downhill... that's how!

The Belgian Grand Prix returns this week as Formula 1 resumes after its summer break, with one of the sport's most famous sections of asphalt featuring.

The right-left-right swinging complex compresses drivers deep into the track as they tear into Eau Rouge and then fly up Raidillon and up onto the Kemmel Straight above.

But how does that section of track look if you barrel down the Kemmel Straight, dip down into Raidillon and then whip through Eau Rouge onto the run to La Source?

Here's how...

When pointing in the right direction again, attacking Eau Rouge-Raidillon will be crucial as drivers look to build good lap times across the grand prix weekend, but Verstappen will take even greater excitement from another secrion...

"The track is set in the forest which makes it different to drive from other circuits," he said. "Eau Rouge is of course special but my favourite part is Pouhon, the fast lefts feel really nice."
