Michael Schumacher equalled Formula 1 history by winning the French Grand Prix and his fifth world drivers' title on this day in 2002. Victory at Magny-Cours, aided by a late Kimi Raikkonen error, gave Schumacher the title with six races to spare, moving the German great level with Juan Manuel Fangio's benchmark.
