Rosberg racing again in Formula E

Former Formula 1 champion Nico Rosberg was back behind the wheel of a racing car this week as he sampled a second-generation Formula E car. 2016 world champion Rosberg took to the streets of Berlin ahead of this weekend's ePrix in the German capital.

Rosberg stunned F1 in 2016 by beating Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton to the F1 drivers' title before walking away from the sport and retiring on the spot.

He has kept his toes dipped in the motorsport pool, however, forming part of Robert Kubica's management as the Pole attempts to get back into F1 since suffering life-altering injuries in a rally crash.

The German was back in battling mood, however, as he competed against FE racer Felix Rosenqvist to see who could make it to the Tempelhof airfield first.

Rosberg was in the Gen2 FE car, which will be introduced to the sport next year.

Rosenqvist took an altogether more direct route - skydiving out of a plane!

While there was no mention of whether Rosberg will follow former F1 rival Felipe Massa into the all-electric series, you can get the views of the former champion on FE - and see who won the race! - below.
